I ask for strength to bear the load,
Of those that stagger along the way.
And a heart that is large enough,
To share my all with those that need.
Arms that will engulf those in pain,
For I've walked that path myself.
And learnt that in giving of myself
I spread joy in hearts so broken.
The seeds I sow in barren lands,
Fill colour and fragrance around.
The nectar from the words so sweet,
Heal wounds that have festered long.
A future bright for all downtrodden,
Happiness that overflows.
I ask for patience to climb over rocks,
That have been strewn along my path.
Through the mist may I walk so sure,
For light I know You will show me bright.
And lead the blind out of the fog
To the land where you want us to be.
