Desire.

He awakens my soul that has slept so long,
My darkest secrets, that I hide from the world,
He releases from within the woman I was,
And he makes me scream for more.

From under my bed, he creeps out at night
He steps out from the closet when I sleep
He takes me by my hand and leads me to see
How I pant with the desire he has awakened in me.

His touch is fiery, I burst into flame
He ties me with promises of the yet unknown
He touches me in places I know no more
And he makes me scream for more and more.

He's the man of my dreams, my secret, my sin,
I long for his touch now my soul he has awakened,
For I know he will make me scream with desire
And make me a whole woman again.

A song I sing, though tear drops fall,
Wrenched from my aching, bleeding heart.
The words form as each one is sung
Quivering on lips so torn apart.

The emptiness reverberates with sounds
Though silence in my heart abounds
Colours bright surround the world
But all I see is so dark and soiled.

The birds sing songs in the morning light
My words fall out in the dead of night
For ages sleep evaded my tiring eyes
But my heart beats on, on broken wings.

I seek a corner far from all strife
To lay me down, to rest my soul.
Long have I run from hurt and pain
Is it now time to take my last breath?

And light them up
Your dreams can come true,
Believe in yourself
And strive to reach there
Where starlight reigns true.
The lovely shapes
The moonlight casts
To lighten up your night,
There's a lesson to learn
That after the dark
The light will surely emerge.
Trudge on, be brave
Though your steps be sore
And heavy each breath you take,
All distances you can cross
If through all troubles, you
Just believe in yourself.
The world is yours
Love life, live it
And cherish all your time,
From dreamland
To the morning light
Just follow your leading heart.
